How do I adjust the primary damper? (Aduro 17 series)

During transport, it may happen that small steel balls from the manufacturing process move or fall into the damper. This can lead to high friction at the air damper and the Aduro-tronic cartridge not being able to move the damper. This can be resolved by manually moving the damper back and forth several times.

If the primary damper is still moving too stiffly, please adjust it in the following ways:

Please note: All changes and adjustments must be conducted when the stove is cold.

1. Pull the drawer all the way out: Lift the black pal on the slide on the one side and press down on the other side. Pull the drawer off the rails.
2. Click off the bottom heat shield (see image 1).
3. You are now able to see the damper and the top heat shield, which are mounted with four screws (see image 2). Screw out the screws and carefully remove the heat shield.

4. Het achterste deel wordt in een kast geplaatst, waarin de externe lucht binnenkomt. Deze kast wordt eveneens bevestigd met 4 schroeven. Indien de klep niet soepel heen en weer beweegt, kan het helpen om enkele van deze schroeven wat losser te draaien.
5. Controleer of Aduro-tronic naar behoren functioneert. Trek de hendel volledig uit en wacht 4-5 minuten. Normaal gesproken zou de automatiek de klep dan weer naar binnen hebben getrokken.
6. De klep moet zeer soepel heen en weer kunnen bewegen. Beweegt de klep nog steeds niet licht genoeg, verwijder dan het oude kopervet of de alupasta en breng nieuwe aan.
7. Controleer opnieuw of Aduro-tronic werkt. Indien hij nog steeds niet functioneert, is de cartridge defect en dient deze te worden vervangen.
