How do I light my stove correctly?

It's important to light a fire in your wood burning stove correctly. This way you will get a fast and effetive start to the combustion.

For the perfect firing you need:

• Big wood logs
• Kindling
• Two to three firelighters for example Aduro Easy Firelighters
• Matches or a lighter

Step by step guide:

• Place two logs on the bottom so they are parallel to each other. It’s important that air flows through the fire while at the same time the logs are placed close enough together so that they will “heat” each other up.
• Place the firelighters between the logs and put some kindling across the logs. 
• Light the fire. During the first 5-10 minutes the door should be slightly ajar so steam from the glass evaporates.

Warning: When lighting a fire, it is imporant to get the fire burning fast. If the fire does not start quickly and the wood only smoulders, it can cause strong smoke formation and in worst case cause an explosive ignition of the flue gasses, which can damage the stove. Furthermore, never use easily combustible fluids to light the fire in the wood burning stove. Burning varnished wood, impregnated wood, chipboard, paper and other waste is strictly forbidden. Burning these materials will damage the environment, the wood burning stove and effect your own health.

Para conseguir la mejor combustión es necesario regular la potencia con la leña. Los trozos pequeños de leña proporcionan una combustión más intensa que los trozos de leña grandes. La combustión también se ve afectada por la cantidad de leña que haya en la cámara de combustión. Para un uso normal, no debe cargar más de dos piezas de leña a la vez. Si desea más potencia, puede cargar más leña siempre que no sobre pase la línea de carga máxima de la estufa.

Cuando vuelva a cargar leña en la estufa, debe abrir la compuerta de aire primario situada debajo de la puerta hasta que el fuego vuelva a prender. Para hacer un uso óptimo de la leña, hay que recargar leña solo cuando quedan brasas en la cámara de combustión. Hay que posar el tronco en las brasas sin impactar la vermiculita y tirar del Aduro-Tronic para que aporte aire durante unos 2 minutos y pueda encender la leña.

Para evitar que salte ceniza al suelo al abrir la puerta, es aconsejable abrir la entrada de aire primaria situada debajo de la puerta 1 minuto antes. Esto creará una corriente de aire que mantendrá las cenizas dentro de la estufa.
