How do I clean the inside of the glass?

WARNING: All cleaning and maintenance should be done with a cold stove.

Aduro stoves have a very efficient air-wash system that reduces the accumulation of soot and other dirt on the glass, making it easier to clean. If a lot of soot accumulates on the glass of your Aduro stove it is possible that the stove’s draft is insufficient , the wood is too moist and not ideal for use or you are burning with a too low temperature.

To clean the inside of the glass it is important to:

  • Avoid any contact between liquid and the surface of the stove.
  • If you decide to use a product, make sure that it does not contain any chemicals that can react with the heat and damage the stove or harm the user.
  • Do not spray the product directly on the stove. Particles of liquid can end up on surface of the stove and damage the paint.
  • Use small quantities. Dripping liquids or detergents can damage the paint or the gaskets.

It is possible to clean the stove using special cleaning agents like Aduro Glass Cleaner or:

Aduro Easy Clean – reusable sponges:

  1. Simply wipe the inside of the glass with the rough part of the Aduro Easy clean sponge until clean.
  2. Remove residue of ash or dirt with a dry, clean cloth.
  3. The pads do not scratch or damage the glass and they are for multiple usage. Water or other cleaning agents are not necessary.

Newspaper:

  1. Roll up a few newspaper sheets and make it slightly moist.
  2. Dip the newspaper into the stove’s ashes
  3. Wipe the glass with the ash-soaked newspaper roll until clean.
  4. Remove residue of ash with a dry clean cloth or dry newspaper.
