Why can the glass in my wood burning stove crack?

The glass in your wood burning stove has great importance to the combustion and safety around your stove. The glass in Aduro wood burning stove is ceramic glass, which can resist extreme heat (up to 760 degrees) without cracking or breaking. However, it may crack due to an external influence such as knocks or hits from fire logs, tools etc. but most often, this will not be visible until the glass is exposed to changes in the temperature.

If the glass or a gasket break, it is important not to fire in the stove until it is properly attached or replaced again, as the glass may slip and thus break. The glass is a wear part and therefore not covered by warranty. The glass in your wood burning stove has great importance to the combustion and safety around your stove.
