Why do I get the alarm "Door is open" on my hybrid stove?

This applies to production numbers 17H10001 – 17H10979

When you receive the alarm message “Door is open” and the stove either turns itself off or it will not turn on (because the door of the combustion chamber is open), it may be due to 2 things:

1. Pellet function is interrupted after loading of firewood. The door has been open for more than 3 minutes. Close the door.
2. The door sensor/switch is defect. You can check this by holding down your finger for a few seconds. If the alarm message on the app disappears, the door switch is not defect and works fine. If the alarm message does not disappear, the door switch is defect and must be replaced.
3. The door switch works, but the door hook must be adjusted. See this guidance. If you still receive the alarm message after adjusting the door, you must order a new door switch-kit at Aduro free of charge. Write an email to service@aduro.dk. Beneath you will can find a guidance for replacing the old door switch.

How to replace the door switch

1. Dismount the rectangular plate that is located on the right side of the back of the stove.
2. Remove the two fires from the door switch (see image 1).
3. Use the existing screw that is located at the bottom of the door (see image 2) and mount the new hook. Image 3 shows how the new hook looks and how it should be placed.

4. Dismount the screw that holds the heat shield in place (see image 4) and mount the new bracket with the new door switch (see image 5). Plug in the two wires very carefully. It is imporant that the wires are placed as shown in image 6.

Once the wires are correctly placed, the door switch will function as door sensor and determine whether the door to the combustion chamber is open or closed.
